Is there an auction house in WoW Forever?

• Yes. WoW Forever has an auction house. Blizzard mentions it several times in the beta notes and fixed bugs there. official
• In our beta scan overnight from Monday, October 19, to Tuesday, October 20, 2026, there were about 42,000 listings on one server covering 2,702 different items. We don't show auction prices or price forecasts. from our own beta scan

What is new compared to Classic?

• The auction house shows a new column for the required level, the level from which you can wear an item. official
• Stats of items with a suffix (for example “… of the Monkey”) now display correctly in the auction house. official
• A bind-on-equip item becomes soulbound when you sell it to a vendor. official
• Many profession-made items sell to vendors for less than before. Enchanting materials and wands now sell for just 1 copper. official
• The new profession factions Azeroth Commerce Authority (Alliance) and Durotar Supply and Logistics (Horde) bring the currency Merchant's Favor. That is not part of the auction house, but part of the economy: supplies and Merchant's Favor. official

Still open: factions, fees, locations

• Blizzard hasn't said whether there is one auction house per ruleset or one per faction. There's no statement on a neutral auction house either. unconfirmed
• Fees, deposits, durations and auctioneer locations haven't been announced for Forever (as of Oct 20, 2026). In Classic the fee was 5 percent with 2, 8 and 24 hour durations – whether that stays the same in Forever isn't confirmed. unconfirmed

What was listed in the beta auction house (scan)

We saw these items in the beta auction house. The list shows no prices – our scan deliberately didn't record them. from our own beta scan

Examples from our own beta scan overnight from Monday, October 19, to Tuesday, October 20, 2026: one server, one moment, German client (build 70450). The scan only shows that these items were listed in the auction house – no auction prices, no quantities, no price forecast. Vendor price = sell price at an NPC vendor from the game data.

“New in Forever” here only means: the item ID does not come from the Classic data.

Vendor or auction house?

• Grey items go to the vendor. For everything else, check the auction house first.
• You can find each item's vendor price on its item page (“Sell price”), for example for Shadow Silk.

Rules: GDKP, gold buying, real-money trading

• According to Blizzard, GDKP runs (loot for gold) aren't allowed; per the press, this applies to North America and Europe, while they're allowed in Korea. official per press
• Buying gold for real money is banned. Buyers risk losing their account (Blizzard forums). official
• During the beta, Blizzard says it banned thousands of gold buyer and seller accounts. official

Hardcore and the auction house

• For the Hardcore ruleset, the rules for trading, mail and the auction house have not been published yet. All rulesets: Rulesets. unconfirmed
