Item tooltips for your website

Running a guild site or a forum, or writing guides for WoW Forever? With one line of code, every link to an item on Eternadex shows its tooltip with all stats, just like in the game. Free, no sign-up, no cookies.

1. Add the code

Add this line to your page once, ideally right before </body>:

<script src="https://eternadex.com/einbetten.js" data-lang="en" async></script>

2. Link to items

Simply link items to their page on Eternadex, for example https://eternadex.com/en/item/19019/. You'll find the item ID in the item database or through the search on the home page. That's it: hover over the link and the tooltip appears, and the link takes on the item's quality color and gets a small icon.

<a href="https://eternadex.com/en/item/19019/">Thunderfury</a>

It also works without a link: <span data-eternadex-item="19019">Thunderfury</span>

Try it

Hover over these links:

Options

data-lang="en": tooltips in English. Without this setting the script shows German tooltips.
data-farbe="aus": links keep your own color.
data-icons="aus": no icon in front of the link.

<script src="https://eternadex.com/einbetten.js" data-lang="en" data-icons="aus" async></script>

Also works on pages that load content dynamically. On phones without a mouse no tooltips are shown; the links simply lead to the item page.

Good to know

Names and stats come from the WoW Forever game data.
The script sets no cookies and only loads data from eternadex.com.
