WoW Forever Name Reservation: Dates and Rules

When: reservation period

• Period: Oct 27, 2026 to Nov 3, 2026. official
• In Korea and Taiwan the period is Oct 28, 2026 to Nov 4, 2026 local time. official
• Blizzard hasn't announced the start time of the reservation yet. We'll add it here as soon as it's known. unconfirmed

Who can reserve?

• Only with one of the upgrade packs (Skyborne Heroic Pack or higher), for up to three characters. official
• It's first come, first served. Blizzard doesn't guarantee your preferred name. official
• You don't need a subscription or game time for it. official
• What the packs include: Editions and packs.

How do names work in WoW Forever?

Names in WoW Forever have two parts: a first name and a last name. Your full name is unique per region, across all rulesets. You can hide the last name on nameplates. official

Without a pack

• There's no early reservation without an upgrade pack. official
• After that, WoW Forever launches on Nov 4 at 3:00 pm PST (Nov 5, 2026, midnight CET). official
• When launch is for you: Launch time.

Prepare your names

• Have two or three backup names ready in case your first choice is taken. Our Name generator has ideas for every race.
