Librams are rare books that become an arcanum: a permanent enchantment for head or legs. Here are all eight librams with materials, costs and bonuses from our database.

How to get an arcanum

Librams for Lydros (Dire Maul)

from Classic Lorekeeper Lydros in Dire Maul turns a libram and a few materials into an arcanum. The quests are available from level 54 for both factions. Each turn-in grants 1,650 experience. You also get +200 reputation with Shen'dralar.

from Classic Mathredis Firestar (Burning Steppes, 65, 23.6) accepts five more librams. Besides the materials he charges 30 gold per arcanum. These quests are available from level 50.

Book donations for the library

WoW Forever also has a library you can donate books to. According to our best-in-slot data, the quest “Great Friend of the Library” rewards, after twenty donated books, among other things Field Researcher's Loop and Philanthropist's Ring.

Which books count, where they are and who accepts them is not in our quest database yet. We will add it once the data is confirmed.

What is an arcanum?

An arcanum is a permanent enchantment for a head or leg item. You get it by handing a libram and the required materials to Lydros or Mathredis Firestar.

Where do I turn in the librams?

The Librams of Rapidity, Focus and Protection go to Lydros in Dire Maul, the other five to Mathredis Firestar (Burning Steppes).

Does all of this apply to WoW Forever?

The quests are in our WoW Forever quest database, but their contents and values come from Classic. Whether they are unchanged in Forever and available at launch is not confirmed.

As of Oct 15, 2026. Quests, materials and bonuses come from our game and quest data and so far reflect Classic. We will add any changes in WoW Forever once they are confirmed.
