Tips for the run

Tactics based on Classic – bosses and abilities may differ in WoW Forever.

Before the run

Wailing Caverns is in an oasis in the northern Barrens. Pick up the quests in Ratchet, at the oasis and in Thunder Bluff. The quest givers for Deviate Hides and the extermination quest stand right above the entrance.

Group

Tank, healer and three DPS. A magic dispeller is a big help, because the Druids of the Fang put party members to sleep. Interrupting their heals is close to mandatory.

Route

The cave is winding. A reliable route: Lady Anacondra, Lord Cobrahn and Lord Pythas on the main path, then Kresh and Skum in the water area, followed by Lord Serpentis and Verdan the Everliving. Once all four Fanglords are dead, talk to the Disciple of Naralex at the entrance to start the event that leads to Mutanus the Devourer.

Tactics: She puts players to sleep, casts lightning and heals herself. Above all, interrupt Healing Touch and dispel sleep off the healer, or the fight drags on for no reason.
