Before the run
The Ruins of Lordaeron lie in the ruined capital above Undercity. The Horde picks up its quests in Undercity, Tirisfal Glades and Silverpine Forest, while the Alliance gets most of its quests inside the dungeon itself and from items that drop there.
Group
Beta status (October 2026): tank, healer and three DPS. Stuns and interrupts are especially valuable here, because they stop the most dangerous casts of several bosses. Most wipes happen on trash – pull patrols away before you engage a boss.
Route
The city isn't linear. You usually start with Witherfang and work your way through the streets to Viktor the Vile, The Abandoned and Bjork before facing the necromancer Rath'mael. Two fights are wave events: Viktor the Vile appears when you click the chimney of a house at the edge of the city, The Abandoned when you enter the market square and the statue there starts to shake.

Tactics: The spider patrols one of the city's streets with two companions. Clear its path first. It puts Leech Poison on the tank; kill the boss first, then the adds.

The AbandonedLevel 18
Tactics: An event fight: after three waves of mobs, the boss appears in the fourth. He casts Frost Nova, applies Chilled to melee attackers and casts Life Drain on the tank. Stun or interrupt him as soon as he starts Life Drain.

Tactics: He hits hard in melee; his Knockout takes about half the tank's health and stuns them. Keep the tank as close to full as possible and stun the boss when you can. Skeletal soldiers and skeletal mages guard him.

Tactics: The necromancer is the final boss. Step out of Flamestrike immediately and keep stuns and interrupts ready for his casts.

Tactics: An optional event fight with five fast waves of mobs; the boss appears in the sixth. Manage your mana and health carefully. He hits hard and puts Leech Poison on the tank – the tank has to pick him up the moment he appears.

Tactics: He patrols the middle of the ruins. Don't pull him with trash, especially not with ghouls. An Anti-Magic Shield protects him for about three seconds – casters should hold their expensive spells until it drops.
