Paladin Leveling Guide 1–60 for WoW Forever
Retribution with a two-handed weapon kills mobs fastest while leveling and needs little downtime. Starting at level 42, you put points into Holy for more Strength, Intellect and stronger seals.
Talents and abilities on this page come from the WoW Forever game data. The tips are based on Classic experience, so values and details may differ in Forever.

Leveling tips
- Always keep a seal up, for example Seal of Righteousness. Cast Judgement on cooldown, then reapply the seal.
- Blessing of Might on yourself is standard while leveling. Use Retribution Aura when fighting multiple mobs, Devotion Aura otherwise.
- Mana is your bottleneck: heal with Holy Light after the fight rather than during it, and drink a little extra. Starting at level 38, Seal of Wisdom helps you regain mana in combat.
- Retribution thrives on a slow two-hander with big hits. In Classic, seals especially benefited from this; values may differ in Forever.
- Hammer of Justice stuns a target: ideal for runners or for briefly taking an add out of the fight.
- In an emergency, use Divine Protection and, starting at level 34, Divine Shield. Lay on Hands restores your health completely.
- Exorcism and Consecration are especially strong against undead and groups of mobs.
- Mining and Blacksmithing are a good fit, or two gathering professions for gold. First Aid saves mana between pulls.
