Warrior Leveling Guide 1–60 for WoW Forever
For leveling, two-handed Arms is the usual choice: big hits, good rage talents and the tree's strongest attack at level 40. After that, your points go into Fury for more crit and rage.
Talents and abilities on this page come from the WoW Forever game data. The tips are based on Classic experience, so values and details may differ in Forever.

What changes for leveling in WoW Forever
- Rage comes easier: critical strikes from regular attacks generate 100% more Rage.
- Every Warrior learns Victory Rush at level 20.
- Thunder Clap now also works in Defensive Stance, and the major cooldowns no longer share a timer.
Per Blizzard's class preview, as of the beta. All changes for the Warrior
Leveling tips
- Open almost every pull with Charge: it generates rage and saves you walking. Rend is mostly worth it on mobs that live longer.
- Rage comes from damage you deal and take. Fighting two mobs at once keeps your rage high, and that's when Cleave and Thunder Clap pay off.
- Use Overpower whenever a mob dodges and Execute on low-health targets. Stop runners with Hamstring.
- Per the game data, Victory Rush is available at level 20: after a kill it heals you a bit and cuts your downtime.
- For Arms you need a good two-handed weapon. Weaponmaster gives you a different benefit depending on the weapon type: axes and polearms crit more often, maces and staves ignore armor, swords trigger extra attacks.
- Warriors can only heal with food and bandages, so First Aid is close to mandatory. Food is cheap at the innkeeper.
- At level 30 you learn Berserker Stance, and at level 36 Whirlwind for hitting multiple mobs. In Classic the stance required a class quest; this may differ in Forever.
- Mining and Blacksmithing suit a Warrior well. If you need gold while leveling, take two gathering professions such as Mining and Skinning.
