Invite-A-Friend in WoW Forever: How It Works

With Invite-A-Friend, a friend can play WoW Forever from November 4 to 11 (Pacific time) without a subscription or game time. According to Blizzard, you get the code when you buy an upgrade pack. Here's how many codes there are, how to pass them on and what happens afterwards.

Who gets codes?

The codes come with the upgrade packs. According to Blizzard, the Skyborne Heroic Pack gives you one code. The Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection include three each. Upgrading from the Heroic Pack to the Epic Pack or the Collection adds two more codes, three in total. According to Blizzard, the Collector's Edition from the Blizzard Gear Store includes three more codes (not when bought from retailers in Korea, Australia or New Zealand). Blizzard has been sending the codes by email since October 20 (Pacific time). Which packs there are: Editions.

How to pass the code on

1. Open the email from Blizzard with your Invite-A-Friend code. 2. Copy the code. 3. Send it straight to your friend, for example in a message. 4. Your friend redeems the code on Battle.net.

What your friend gets

Once the code is redeemed, your friend can play WoW Forever from November 4 to 11 (Pacific time) without a subscription or game time. That covers the first week after launch. Exact launch time: Launch time.

What doesn't work

• No beta access: The code only works from launch, not for the beta.
• No gift purchases: According to Blizzard, gift purchases are excluded.
• No new race: according to Blizzard, the code doesn't unlock the Skyborne or their starting zone.
• Redeem by November 11: after that, Battle.net shows an error. Each code works on one WoW account only and can't be redeemed on an account that bought an upgrade pack itself.
• According to Blizzard, other restrictions apply.

After November 11
