Shadow Priest Talents & Build – Raid and PvP for WoW Forever
Shadow Priests deal damage over time. Shadowform increases your Shadow damage and lowers mana costs, Shadow Weaving empowers your Shadow damage with every hit, Vampiric Embrace heals the group through your damage, and Devouring Contagion makes Devouring Plague jump to additional enemies.

Shadow down to Shadowform with Shadow Weaving, Improved Mind Blast, Improved Mind Flay and Early Demise. Discipline offers Twin Disciplines for stronger instant spells, plus Meditation and Inner Focus for more mana.

Playstyle and rotation
Keep Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague and Vampiric Embrace on the target. Use Mind Blast on cooldown and fill with Mind Flay. Below 20% target health, Shadow Word: Death crits more often thanks to Early Demise. In Forever, Devouring Plague is baseline for all Priests starting at level 20. Shadow damage generates a lot of threat, so watch it in raids.
Stat priority
For Shadow Priest, the key stats are spell hit up to the cap, spell damage and spell crit. Intellect gives mana and some crit chance, and Stamina mostly matters in PvP. This priority comes from Classic; stat weights in WoW Forever may differ.
