Protection Paladin Talents & Build – Raid for WoW Forever
Protection Paladins tank with a shield and Holy damage. Holy Shield increases your block chance and deals damage with every block, Redoubt and Shield Specialization improve blocking, Improved Righteous Fury reduces the damage you take while Righteous Fury is active, and Templar's Bulwark protects you with a large shield in emergencies.

Raid Build (PvE)
Protection down to Holy Shield with Templar's Bulwark, Iron Creed, One-Handed Weapon Specialization and Shield Specialization. Retribution offers Deflection for more parry, Benediction and Holy Conduit for cheaper spells and Improved Judgement for more frequent Judgement.

Playstyle and rotation
Activate Righteous Fury and keep Holy Shield up as much as possible. In Forever, Seal of Fury gives you a shield and a taunt via Judgement; Improved Seal of Fury restores mana, and Swift Judgement resets the cooldown of Judgement. With Iron Creed, Holy Strike becomes your threat attack and reduces the damage you take, while Consecration handles multiple enemies. In the beta, Paladins are seen as sturdy tanks; how they hold up in raids will become clear after launch.
Stat priority
For Protection Paladin, the key stats are Stamina, armor and defense, so bosses can't crit you. Next come dodge, parry and block; hit and Strength help you generate threat. This priority comes from Classic; stat weights in WoW Forever may differ.
