Marksmanship Hunter Talents & Build – Raid and PvP for WoW Forever
Marksmanship Hunters deal most of the damage themselves. Sniper Shot is a powerful long-range shot, Mortal Shots increases crit damage, Careful Aim turns your Intellect into attack power, and Trueshot Aura boosts the attack power of the whole group. In Forever, Aimed Shot is baseline for all Hunters starting at level 20.
Talents, ranks and values come from the WoW Forever game files. Playstyle and stat tips are based on Classic experience; talents and details may differ in Forever.

Raid Build (PvE)
Marksmanship down to Sniper Shot with Ranged Weapon Specialization, Barrage, Careful Aim and Rapid Recuperation. Beast Mastery offers Deadly Aspects, Focused Fire and Unleashed Fury, so your pet deals more damage too.

PvP build with Improved Concussive Shot, Scatter Shot and Improved Stings for a shorter cooldown on Viper Sting. Survival offers Improved Wing Clip against melee, Deterrence as a panic button and Surefooted against slows.

Playstyle and rotation
Basic rotation: Hunter's Mark, then Sniper Shot on cooldown, with Auto Shot, Serpent Sting and Arcane Shot in between, and Multi-Shot on groups. Rapid Killing shortens the cooldown of Rapid Fire and empowers your next shot after a kill, and Rapid Recuperation then gives you mana regen. In Classic, the key was not to clip Auto Shot with too many special shots.
Stat priority
For Marksmanship Hunter, the key stats are hit, Agility, ranged attack power and crit. Your ranged weapon is your most important piece of gear, and Intellect keeps your mana up. This priority comes from Classic; stat weights in WoW Forever may differ.
