Materials and cost
Vendor prices come from the game data and are already filled in. You enter auction house prices yourself, for example “1g 20s” or “35s”. A number without a unit counts as silver.
Good to know
- There are no live auction house prices yet. You enter auction house prices yourself. They are only saved in your browser, not on our server.
- Vendor prices are without reputation discounts. With Friendly or better reputation you pay a little less at the vendor.
- Materials you craft yourself along the route (such as bolts of cloth or bars) are subtracted automatically. Their ingredients are already in the list.
- With “Craft intermediate materials yourself”, the calculator breaks down materials your profession learns from the trainer, such as bolts of cloth from cloth. Unchecked, they appear as items to buy.
- At skill 75, 150 and 225 you learn the next rank from the trainer. Trainer costs are not included.

FAQ
Where do the prices in the profession calculator come from?
Vendor prices come from the WoW Forever game data, for example for thread, vials and spices. You enter auction house prices yourself, because we don't have live auction house data yet. Your prices stay saved in your browser.
Which route does the calculator use?
The same route as our profession guides: for each skill point, the recipe that costs the least material and still reliably gives points. Trainer recipes take priority over recipes you have to find or buy first.
Can I start in the middle of a profession?
Yes. Enter your current skill and your target, for example 150 to 225. The calculator only counts the crafts in that range.
How accurate is the number of crafts?
They are expected values: yellow and green recipes don't always give a point. Plan about ten percent extra, especially just before the next rank.
What does “already have” mean?
Enter what you already have in your bags or bank. The calculator subtracts it from the shopping list and the cost. Materials you craft yourself along the route are subtracted automatically.
