Leveling professions in WoW Forever: from 1 to 300
This guide takes every profession step by step from 1 to 300. For each skill level you see which recipe to craft, how many times, and what to buy or gather for it. Tick off finished steps; your progress is saved in your browser.
The ranks at a glance
Every profession has four ranks that you unlock at the trainer: Apprentice up to 75, Journeyman up to 150, Expert up to 225 and Artisan up to 300. Visit your trainer before you reach the cap of a rank, otherwise you waste skill points.
Which profession should I pick?
You learn two primary professions. The easiest combination is a gathering profession that supplies a crafting profession, for example Mining with Blacksmithing or Engineering, Skinning with Leatherworking, or Herbalism with Alchemy. If gold is your main goal, two gathering professions at the start are a popular choice: you just sell the mats. Cooking, First Aid and Fishing are worth it for every character on top. What is new in Forever
Forever adds more than 600 new recipes and new materials. Certain dungeon bosses drop advanced blueprints, and at a campfire your profession lets you set up objects with useful buffs (camping). Professions also count for the Legacy System: raising a crafting profession to 150, 225 and 300 earns one account-wide point each.

Why is a recipe missing at the trainer?
We estimate the training level from the recipe colors. If the trainer does not offer a recipe yet, simply craft the previous step a few more times.
The route is calculated from the recipe data of the Forever client (build 1.60.1): at every skill level we pick the trainer recipe that most reliably gives a skill point with the cheapest materials. We estimate the skill level at which a trainer teaches a recipe from the recipe colors. If your trainer does not offer a recipe yet, simply repeat the previous step a few more times. We keep checking the routes in game. Material prices are vendor prices or rough estimates.
